In 2003, InterviewStream was started with a simple mission: make Interviewing more effective and painless. Why? Because, interview preparation really matters and securing interviews with a simple piece of paper that's very similar to other jobseekers isn't easy. The founders--Miles Munz and Randy Bitting--know firsthand. They were at remote universities and felt there was a better way to prepare and also express themselves through video to employers before moving back to the Philadelphia region.

So the idea for InterviewStream, a webcam recorded video interview service, was born.

Miles and Randy, childhood friends and ice hockey teammates since they were 13 years old began where they left off: in colleges and universities, focusing on the career centers. The company invested wisely in the latest technology and most robust platforms. They sought the input and advice of the leading institutions and encouraged customization. But they also did it their own way, a slightly irreverent, customer friendly way, that counselors felt was genuine and endearing. It was and still is.

Today, some four years later, they continue to break new ground and power video interviewing at the top universities, outplacement firms, employers, and job boards around the globe including 9 of top 10 global MBA Programs and the #1 Entry Level Job Board, CollegeGrad.com

In working with the career centers, they discovered corporate HR professionals wanted to ask relevant questions, control who responds and for how long, and be able to access anywhere at any better way to assess potential employees that went beyond the resume. Specifically they wanted to get a richer understanding of a job seeker's communication style, their poise, and a sense of their presence--aspects that can't be conveyed in a resume. But Employers were equally clear: we don't want a long form, self produced video resume.

Miles and Randy are entrepreneurs, pioneering new services in the video-based interview space. They appreciate all those that have helped them along the way and feel especially grateful for positive feedback they receive. All because they help job seekers to prepare and express themselves while enabling employers to see and hear more candidates online!
