What is InterviewScreen?

InterviewScreen allows employers to review candidate responses to recorded employer-driven interview questions online while getting a richer understanding of a candidate's communication style, poise, and a sense of their presence--aspects that can't be conveyed in a resume. Also, the interview questions, length of response, and access are all controlled by the employer.

Where does a candidate go to interview?

InterviewScreen can easily be integrated right into your website. Candidates copy & paste the job code that you sent them via email, plug in their webcam, and interview from their own desktop or notebook computer.

What does a candidate need to complete an interview?

Webcam with microphone and a broadband Internet Connection.

What happens when a candidate doesn't have a webcam?

You have 3 options: 1) You can request the candidate purchase or borrow a webcam - keep in mind that webcams are inexpensive and most 2006 and 2007 notebook computers have them built into the screen, 2) You can send a webcam directly to the candidate through the mail, or 3) If you're interviewing a recent graduate or MBA, InterviewScreen's parent company InterviewStream is installed in hundreds of universities and MBA Programs including 35 of the top 50 U.S. Business Schools. Each career center is provided with extra webcams that students can check out for this reason.

If I'm not interviewing the candidate live, who's interviewing them?

For the past 4 years, we have been filming our virtual interviewers asking over a thousand questions on video. We collected our database from top employers, universities, and MBA programs so we can deliver as close a real interview experience as possible.

What happens if I need custom questions?

We can film you asking your interview questions or we can film them for you using our interviewers.

Does the candidate get to review their video responses and retry?

It's up to you! Some of our clients set the system to give candidates one shot only. Others don't mind if each candidate has 1, 2, or 3 times to review and retry.

What if a candidate has never done a video interview?

For this reason we have separate websites where the candidates can plug in their webcam and get familiar with the technology using general interview questions.
